BUG?: Dark theme not working

I’ve enabled the “dark theme”, as I find the default theme just a tad too bright. However, the theme isn’t particularly bright at all:

Using Chrome 61.0.3163.91 64-bit on Debian Stretch.

I’m having the same problem, enabling Dark theme does nothing.
Am using Opera on Windows 10, tried Firefox but no dice.

I’m on a Chromebook and the dark theme doesn’t work for me either in the Chrome browser.

I know this is an older thread, but for anyone interested in screen lighting there’s options. I have ‘Dark Night Mode’ chrome-extension and f.lux or ‘flux’ installed on my computers.
