So I think I have a good grasp of python, and started C, curious which one to delve into machine learning with? C will take a while before I can, but I’m thinking that’s the way to go?

Python, definitely. It dominates the machine learning world right now. There’s no technical reason it should, it’s just what a bunch of people knew so most of the libraries aimed for it.
